After hearing more about Gail's (Miller) Broadway performances, Carlito (Pacino) decides
to check it out himself. He searches, but all he could find was a topless dance bar.
Inside, he sees a redhead doing moves suspiciously close to classical dance. When the dancer
turns around, he sees the face of Gail, who quickly gets back into rhythm. Quite surprised,
Carlito is awestruck, but not because of disappointment, but because there is a sense of
kinship in her eyes now. Before he went to prison, she was an angel from heaven. Now,
they have more in common.
