Thinking they have reconciled their differences, Hughie(Zane) makes his move
to seduce Rae(Kidman). Hoping to buy some time for her husband and keep Hughie's
guard down, she plays along. She even tries to prepare the gun, but is interrupted
by her dog who no longer listens to her commands. When Hughie finally enters her,
the dog obediently goes away, much to the dismay of Rae. Once again, the dog has
foiled her plans and her chance for survival. Meanwhile, Hughie is so full of lust/insanity
that he doesn't stop to wonder why a woman, whose husband he just stranded, would even
show any affections towards him.
