In his moments of sanity, Romulus (Jackson) is a touching, wounded individual
with a gift for music and simplicity in life. This attracts Leppenraub's (Feore) sister
Moira (Magnuson) after an odd dinner engagement. They make love, but things aren't
as black and white as the scene would suggest. Romulus is still in love with his
wife and his daughter, but somewhere inside him he knows he can't go back to that
life and to the person he once was. The most he can do is take the pleasures in
being who he is now.
