summary:
After learning of her mother's death, estranged teen, Purslane Hominy Will (Scarlett Johansson), returns to New Orleans after many years
with plans of reclaiming her mother's house where she lived as a child. To her surprise, she finds the delapidated home inhabited by two
drunks, ex literary professor Bobby Long (John Travolta) and his assistant Lawson Pines(Gabriel Macht). The two men have no plans of
leaving, so they all three wind up cohabitating together. Over time, they get to know one another's deeper sides and find out just how
intertwined their lives really are.
