summary:
Anita (Drew Barrymore), a teen sexually abused by her mother’s boyfriend, falls for Howard (James LeGros), her gun loving prison pen pal who she found as result of a school project. Anita ends up killing her mother’s boyfriend and hides the body. Upon Howard’s parole, he moves in with her, but this extremely troubled couple soon turns to violence. Trying to escape their fate, they head out on the run.
