While Sal (Loggia) sleeps, so do Marie (Parillaud) and Joe (LaPaglia) at a local motel in order to regroup
and recover their energy. But there is something about Marie that Joe can't pull away from and she quickly
reads his signals. She undresses and offers to have herself handcuffed since he's afraid she might get
overexcited and rip him to pieces. Problem is, mere handcuffs can't hold her and she quickly breaks
them apart and straddles him. By the end, she has fallen in love with the detective and gives him her name.
Good thing Joe didn't see her face as her eyes freakily changed colors because that certainly would have soured the mood.
