for her, with a card from her husband Matt(Palminteri) saying he misses her.
Touched, she tries to call him at his offices but gets the answering machine.
However, he is at the office and listens to her message while sipping some
liquor. It seems she is not the only one having extra-marital relations.
She thinks she is reaching "hysterical blindness", a phrase that holds
a lot of significance later on.
