Knowing full well that the path he has chosen cannot involve or corrupt
Kay's (Keaton) life, Michael (Pacino) finds love again in the arms of
Apollonia (Stefanelli) in Italy. On their wedding night, she offers herself
to him and the couple embrace like it was meant to be, in the only scene
with visible nudity of the entire trilogy. Her nakedness and acceptance
suggests a level of intimacy only she could share with Michael. They understand
each other and an innocence is created - one he could never have with Kay.
