Many have commented that the very sexist and childish plot of the male
dominator eventually winning the heart of his female victim, is forgotten
and the story raised to a new level by the intense acting of Bettis. But
scenes like this should inherently remind any sensible viewer just how ridiculous
the plot actually is, no matter how good the actors are. It's hard not
to think this is just a gratuitous sex scene whose only purpose is to get
the lead actress nude.
