As dawn approaches, the two lovers Noro(Lee) and Ramana(Holt) watch
the greeting sun and discuss their lives. Noro is to represent his
clan in the upcoming race and asks Ramana to marry him. She hesistates,
knowing full well that they can't because she's from the Short Ears and
he from the Long Ears. That doesn't deter him. He wants her for his
wife, despite what the others talk about. But darkness still shadows their
love as Make's name resurfaces in their discussion.
