Unable to sleep, Tom (Bacon) is given a welcome distraction when his wife Maggie (Erbe)
is in the mood for a little rolling under the covers. But while she is pushing towards
ecstasy, he is continually haunted by strange visions of blood, a clawing hand, and
a broken fingernail. It becomes too much for him and ruins the mood, leaving Maggie
exasperated. It will be the first in a string of frustrations for his spouse. If even an
intimate moment can be interrupted by his visions, how can they hold up the rest of the
day together?
