Finding comfort in the confident and seemingly caring painter, Françoise (McElhone) opens
herself up to him by undressing and exposing her naked form. Picasso (Hopkins) turns
around surprised by the sight. He certainly wasn't expecting it, but quickly adjusts
himself and remarks that he had expected her to be more masculine underneath her clothing.
Approaching her, he admires the contours of her face and the way it plays against the light.
He's seen enough naked women not to be overcome with primal urges, yet those urges exist -
He's just slightly more polite about it which she'll soon find out.
