As Bobby(Penn) and Grace(Lopez) drive away from the small town that had him trapped for
too long of a time, Bobby is haunted by the knowledge that the woman he's with has slept
with the cop they just knocked off. Impaled by critics, Stone's direction
should be praised for the sense of momentum that breathes in every element of the scene. We
feel energy in Penn's anguish, in the car's movement, and in Lopez's sex scene. It's
entertainment like an amusement park ride.
