Upon returning home, Kate(Lynch) wishes to remain with Guy(Tubb) and he the
same. Both slightly insane and suicidal, she suggests they copulate until death
separates them. But their rowdiness leads to carelessness and soon the shack
is set ablaze. Her brief dream of paradise fades away with the burning of the
house, and so does her surreal fantasy love with Guy. Her sponge bath may have
cleansed her, but only in fire could she truly be made pure.
